A brief statement on Donald Trump
I’m making it brief, because I don’t want to waste my valuable time thinking or writing about this man, whose behavior and rhetoric I find sickening and sad. I rather focus on the positivity of Bernie Sanders. Trump is inciting violence, promoting racism and xenophobia, and giving permission to those in America with hate and bigotry in their hearts to crawl out of the woodwork.
I pray that Donald Trump and his fervent supporters are somehow healed of their hatred, ignorance, and anger, and that they will come to truly understand the Gospel message of love your neighbor as yourself. Nevertheless, I want to see and hear as little as I can of his tirades and unintellectual nonsense. I think this is a message that all good and kind people need to send to our broken mainstream media, which has helped to create this abhorrent reality. I suggest people take a few minutes to write an email to CNN, MSNBC, and other networks, expressing a desire to see far less coverage of Trump’s vile statements.
Lastly, good people will oppose Donald Trump everywhere he appears by standing up and speaking out against hatefulness and his unacceptable, inhumane, and illegal policy proposals. I am certain that Mr.Trump will be in for a rude awakening if he decides to attempt to speak in Portland, Seattle, or San Francisco, where he will undoubtedly meet massive opposition.
