Russian President Putin, standing next to French President Francois Hollande, told journalists that the Russian government sees long conveys of “industrial level oil shipments” going to Turkey from ISIS controlled territory. “The convoys return empty,” the Russian leader said. The tankers then fill up and return again to Turkey. “They go back and forth. We can see them from space,” Putin stated. He said that it might be possible that the highest levels of government may not know about these massive shipments. Putin also noted that it is unlikely that these shipments are destroyed because there are no clouds of smoke coming from Turkey.
